Dr Karl Baltpurvins acts as the Chief Executive Officer of Pure Environmental which operates a Used Lead Acid Battery breaking facility and Western Australia and is also developing an integrated Used Lead Acid Battery breaker and Lead refinery at Hazelwood in Victoria.

Karl holds a PhD in environmental chemistry from the University of Newcastle and has over 25 years of experience in the environmental services sector in Australia and abroad.

Karl is a chartered chemist with the Royal Australian Chemistry Institute and has presented at numerous conferences and published an array of papers in the fields of waste management, contaminated site remediation, wastewater treatment, innovation and environmental chemistry.
